Anna Manasyants had her first piano lessons at the age of seven and began to take singing instructions at the age of eleven. She has studied under professor Arutjunian at the music academy in Jerevan where she received her honours with distinction. In the course of her studies she was a member of the Jerevan Radio Choir with which she performed at various concerts in Russia, Japan, Israel and Europe.

At the State University of Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart she continued her music studies under Professor Luisa Bosabalian. She was a member of the Lied course of Konrad Richter, worked together with the unforgettable Carl Davis, attended master courses by Luisa Bosabalian, Montserrat Caballé und Grace Bumbry.

She made it into the finals of numerous significant song competitions; in 1996 she came third in the international singing contest of italian opera “I Cestelli Competizione dell’ Opera” in Stuttgart, and in Hamburg she won the special award of an European tour with the Polish chamber orchestra Sopot under Wojciech Rajski. Anna Manasyants’ debut took place in 1996 at the state opera house in Stuttgart as Lisetta in Haydn’s opera “Die Welt auf dem Monde”.

After completing her graduation in art with distinction in 1997 at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts in Stuttgart.she became member of the ensemble at the State Opera House Braunschweig, followed by guest contracts at the opera houses in Bielefeld, Schwerin, Chemnitz, Bratislava, Kosice und Stuttgart. In 2008 she took part in a production of “Il flauto magico”and gave guest performances at the Teatro Pergolesi in Jesi, at the Teatro Dell`Aquila in Fermo, at the Teatro Comunale di Treviso as well as the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine.

She has performed on the opera stage in numerous significant roles such as amongst others Carmen(„Carmen“),Rosina (“Il Barbiere di Siviglia”), Angelina (“La Cenerentola”), Adalgisa (“Norma”), Cherubino (“Le Nozze di Figaro”), Orlofsky (“Die Fledermaus”), Hänsel and Gertrud (“Hänsel und Gretel”), Komponist (“Ariadne auf Naxos”) and Maria (“West Side Story”).

Anna Manasyants lives as freelance singer in Stuttgart and teaches singing at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart.
